Alexandra Roldan graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology. She has been working with children, including those with special needs, since 2015. Her interest in the mental health of children sparked from her education and work with children over the last several years. Alexandra’s foundation of movement comes from over a decade of gymnastics training as a child. In 2017, she became a movement instructor, which was when she began to discover the amazing benefits that yoga can provide for children. She began to incorporate yoga into her movement sessions and, after seeing its effectiveness, decided to further her education in the subject, becoming certified in Creative Relaxation Yoga Therapy. Alexandra founded POMY in 2018, under the idea that yoga could be used in the lives of children as a piece of the overall health puzzle to promote both physical and mental health from a young age.
